I love this series and every book in it that I have read so far. The characters are strong but realistic. In Dive into You Emily, Billy's sister decides that it is time to really live life. She has spend her life being the good daughter focusing on her education and teaching. Now she has found something new to focus on. What she intends as her first one night stand turns into so much more but the guy turns out to be a friend and new employer of the dive shop. Billy will not be pleased to find out that Doug has slept with his sister; as a matter of fact, Doug is floored when he discovers who she is. The magic woman magnet isn't ready for a committed relationship and he would never sleep with one of his buddies' sisters, never! Well, never again. Emily has a real battle getting this guy to admit that he cares and getting him back in her bed. So fun!Product details

Another great book in the Aloha Series, I can relate to all the characters in the story and the setting of Hawaii is just superb. The story of Doug and Emily is exciting, they are characters we have met before in previous books in the series, and their special story is very enjoyable and good to see that all the other characters are featured at some stage in the book as well. Another great read from Chris Keniston, I just had to keep reading until the book was finished.
I love this series and have since I first met Nick & Kara in the first book. I got the first book free through an advertisement on Bookbub and have come back to buy the others. So far I'm only on book 4 but I keep coming back for more. I live the way the stories are tied together and the tension between the characters. I'm torn right now to go back and start fresh or to keep going into book 5. I took a small break from books 1&2 to 3&4, I guess I'll too book 5 because I'm dying to see who I meet next.
This is another great book in this series! You do not have to read these books in order, but it helps you as a reader learn about all the charachters and how they relate to each other!!
A one night stand That turns into something great! Who hasn't thought about the hot guy at a wedding and wanted to hook up with him? Well Emily took her chance at that and wouldn't you know it... Turns out Doug is a friend of her brother!
Things get a little crazy(in a good way).
This is a great read for anyone needing to get away from the every day ordinary and sink into a beautiful place(Hawaii) and beautiful people!
I can't wait for the next book to come out! You will not be disappointed!!
This was a decent addition to the series. I like the main characters and catching up with the other people in the series are doing. This was a fairly standard book with nothing very different from the others but I like the series and so spent a few days before going to bed finding out how they hero and heroine would get together in the end. The only issue I had was with the repetitive nature of the thoughts of the main characters concerning 1. how to prevent Billy from finding out Doug was in a relationship of some sort with his sister and 2. Living life outside of her comfort zone. I would recommend this book and will probably read it again to pass a weekend afternoon.
Fifth book in the series and every time I finish one book I want the next one now. Doug Hamilton left the Navy two years ago and he is quite the playboy but now watching his friends fall in love he feels like he is missing something . Emily Everett a school teacher is at the same party as Doug and she feels drawn to him but she has two very protective brothers there also. Will they get together? Can Doug see past what happened to him early in life to realize he is worthy of love?The story also covers Billy Emily’s brother and his fiancée Angela, Nick her other brother and his wife Kara and two teenagers Jim and Lexie and we find out Doug has a sister Amy Pratt who was separated from him when they where children. Two stars for. Execution. One star for editing. Had looked forward to Doug's story. But have to admit my disappointment. Ms Keniston is a great author, but this book was put together in a very piecemeal fashion. I understand that this was a difficult story for her to write, but perhaps she had a little too much input from her friends during the process of trying to work out the tough parts of his childhood. I kept rereading parts trying to figure out what was said to whom, or if they were told at all. Very confusing! This is where I think a good editor would have come in very handy.
If you are a fan of this series, as I am, then I can't tell you to skip this one, but be warned.
Chris Keniston never disappoints! The Aloha Series is so much fun to read, I find myself saying "I'll just read a few more pages" and without realizing it, hours have flown by and I am not stopping until I reach the end! It's hard for me to pick a favorite because I love each and every character, beginning with the first book.
Navy hero Doug and Emily, a school teacher challenge each other and while they appear to be opposites, in fact their personalities suit so well, it is as if they have always known each other. Sparks flew like lightning at their first meeting and allowing themselves to enjoy their passionate feelings, was a delight to read.
This author brings out something very special in her books and the joyful mood continues long after the lights are out. The test of a good writer can be an excellent story, but the test of a great writer is having characters live in your mind long after you've finished the book. I know I will love the remaining stories, as well and am getting ready to begin "The Look of Love," Book 5, followed by "Love By Design," Book 6.
